stone furnace, tools, iron candle chandelier and wood burning
stove.
Even though The Anvil is very much food orientated, it remains
a country public house at the heart of the village, used by
walkers, cyclists, darts players and locals too!
We have 3 cask ales to choose from, two of which are local.
We like to vary our selection on a two-cask basis from breweries
such as Black Sheep, Hambleton Ales, Daleside, Bradfield,
Wold Top and Copper Dragon to name but a few
Our wine list is very comprehensive featuring pressings from
all of the New World Countries, alongside European classics.
A wine specials list is always available, currently including
an Australian red ‘Three Amigos,’ from the famous
Cloudy Bay winemaker and a spectacular Black Muscat dessert
wine from California. At least nine wines are sold by the
glass, and Champagne also.
Diners may choose to eat in here instead of the dining room.
